Yarmila Alfonzetti – Culture, Innovation and Opera

How do you innovate and reinvigorate an opera company in the era of short attention spans, the Bachelor and everyone wants to be famous talent shows? That is just the burning deck and challenging situation Yarmila was faced with when she recently took on the role as Executive Director of State Opera South Australia.

If you think a podcast about opera sounds boring, then think again. Today’s show is anything but boring, with insight flying a mile a minute. From Yarmila’s youth playing six instruments and sneaking in to the opera house at intermission at her time at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. To insights into what makes a good culture, innovation and taking the opera to the people.
